Registering to become a bone marrow donor is fast, easy, and completely painless. If you are found to be a match, it is your opportunity to be a real hero. About 1 in 540 of those on the US list are found to be a match. Typically the hospital stay for donors is from early morning till late afternoon (possibly overnight for observation). A small price to pay to save a life!
